A little information about Bridgett Vallery
From Realism to Abstract: From Watercolors to Acrylics
On my 8th birthday, my parents gave me a Jon Gnagy Learn to Draw set. I remember completing the exercises in the enclosed booklet with the gift set but not much else; however, I can remember that I loved to doodle on paper rather than take notes in school. In 2000 I read “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain”, and completed each of the drawing exercises enthusiastically. Soon I began using pencil colors and acrylic paints. After a friend suggested trying watercolors, I joined the Watercolor Art Society-Houston and began to take lessons from local artists and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston Glassell School of Art. I now know my passion is painting and I continue to be humbled each time I pick up a brush to paint.
